1. NZ Q4 Retail Sales (16:45 ET) No Trade — Tough call because even though credit card spending data was weaker forecasts are very low

2. German IFO (04:00 ET) Bearish EUR — Potential downside surprise. ZEW was significantly weaker. PMIs slightly weaker

1. NZ PMI Services (16:30 ET) Bullish NZD — Should be stronger given RBNZ optimism and uptick in PMI Manufacturing

2. JN Q4 GDP (18:50 ET) No Trade — GDP is expected to weaker but forecasts are very low – Trade data improved but household spending was weaker

2. German CPI (08:00 ET) Bullish EUR – Potential upside surprise given uptick in GE PPI

3. CAD Current Account (08:30 ET) Bearish CAD – Potential downside surprise given sharp drop in trade balance

4. US Q4 GDP (08:30 ET) Bearish USD – Potential downside surprise given significantly weaker retail sales

5. AU PMI Mfg (16:45 ET) No Trade – Manufacturing PMI is difficult to predict but can be market moving

3. US Trade Balance (08:30 ET) Bullish USD – Potential upside surprise given improvement in manufacturing activity

4. US Pending Home Sales & Durable Goods (10:00 ET) No Trade – Revisions are hard to predict but changes can be market moving

2. US Consumer Confidence (10:00 ET) Bullish USD – Potential upside surprise given rise in stocks and University of Michigan Index

3. US Fed Chair Powell Testimony (10:00 ET) No Trade – Biggest event of the day, tough call. Powell should be less hawkish but tariff extension could ease their concerns

4. NZ Trade Balance (14:45 ET) Bearish NZD – Potential downside surprise given weaker manufacturing PMI

3. CAD Retail Sales (08:30 ET) Bullish CAD – Potential upside surprise given sharp rise in employment and uptick in wholesale sales
