Here’s what we are looking for in tomorrow’s economic reports (February 14, 2020) — Good Luck Trading!

1. NZ Business PMI (16:30 ET) No Trade — Last month, trade balance improved despite PMI drop & that could be reflected this month

2. GE Q4 GDP (02:00 ET) Bearish EUR — Significantly weaker retail sales, trade balance also lower

3. EZ Q4 GDP and trade balance (05:00 ET) No Trade — Weaker French and GE trade balance. Since German GDP released same day, best traded reactively

4. US Retail Sales (08:30 ET) Bearish USD — Wage growth accelerated, albeit less than expected. Gas prices fell sharply so spending could miss.

5. US University of Michigan Sentiment Index (10:00 ET) Bearish USD — Coronavirus expected to take a toll on sentiment

2. US Consumer Price Index (08:30 ET) No Trade — Gas prices declined in December but factory prices were on the rise

2. Australian Employment (19:30 ET) No Trade — Weaker labor market activity in manufacturing sector offsets strength in services

3. Chinese Industrial Production and Retail Sales (21:00 ET) No Trade — Chinese data is difficult to handicap but very market moving

4. GE and EZ Q3 GDP (02:00 & 05:00 ET) Bearish EUR — Q3 GDP likely to confirm that German economy is in “technical recession”

5. UK Retail Sales (08:30 ET) Bearish GBP — Likely to be weaker as BoE expresses concerns about consumer demand. CBI data mixed and GfK confidence down

6. US PPI (08:30 ET) Bullish USD — Potential upside surprise given rise in CPI in October

1. Chinese IP and Retail Sales (20:00 ET) No Trade — Chinese data is difficult to predict but weak numbers will be very worrisome

2. Q2 German GDP (02:00 ET) Bearish EUR — Between weaker retail sales and sharp drop in German ZEW, GDP growth may have slowed materially

3. UK CPI (04:30 ET) Bearish GBP — Potential downside surprise as PMIs report softer price growth

4. EZ Q2 GDP (05:00 ET) Bearish EUR — etween weaker retail sales and sharp drop in German ZEW, GDP growth may have slowed materially
